About Chef Jaison LeRoy
A fourth-generation Montanan, Chef Jaison LeRoy grew up in Bozeman before setting out to explore the world at age 18. He enrolled at the Western Culinary Institute in Portland and took a busboy job at a small, family-run Japanese restaurant. That experience changed the course of his life. He was captivated by the purity, creativity, and depth of Japanese cuisine—and shortly after, he packed a backpack and flew to Japan on a one-way ticket.
