A Dinner by Chef Dave Wells & Chef Linda Huang
Chef Dave Wells is the former Executive Chef of Chico Hot Springs Resort & Day Spa in Pray, Montana, where he led the culinary program and developed the resort’s celebrated multi-course Tasting Room experience. Known for his thoughtful approach to seasonal ingredients, Dave’s cooking reflects precision, restraint, and deep respect for Montana’s land and farmers.
He has been recognized multiple times by the James Beard Foundation, including semifinalist honors for Best Chef: Northwest (2019) and Best Chef: Mountain (2020, 2022, 2025).
Dave comes from Tennessee, the American South where food is more than a meal. It’s how people care for each other. It’s smoky BBQ slow-cooked over wood fire, cornbread warm from the oven, collard greens simmered for hours, and biscuits that taste like home. It's food born from history and shared humanity from hands of every color, cooking together through time.
